Piazza is Paying to Keep Pilots and Teachers Safe With Concealed Carry Training
Concealed carry training is training that citizens can receive to become eligible for a concealed weapon permit, a permit which enables them to carry a concealed pistol. Concealed carry training is available at many shooting schools across the nation, but the school with the most students of late has been Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Front Sight was founded and is directed by Dr. Ignatius Piazza, a former chiropractor from California. Dr. Piazza's life of serving others as a doctor became a life of serving others in getting them firearms training after he and the rest of his neighborhood were made the victim of a random drive-by shooting.
Although Dr. Piazza never received formal firearms training, he did turn his life into the devotion to training others upon realizing that only firearms training could have saved his own life, had the drive-by shooting become a home invasion. Now that his life has become devoted to training others, he has become practically obsessed with it, looking for the way to solve such problems as school shootings and terrorist attacks on planes. He is convinced that the way to do this is to arm teachers and pilots and give them superior gun training, concealed carry training. Concealed carry training is a sort of defensive handgun training, and involves knowing when a situation is escalating, and knowing when it is necessary to act.
Dr. Piazza is so convinced that handgun training is the way to ensure safety in our schools and in the air that he is willing to pay for the training of any commercial pilot, and any three teachers from all school districts in the nation. While he hopes to get more than only three teachers from each school district, he is convinced that if those three come through Front Sight, they will pass the word and get their district to pop for paying for more. Dr. Piazza is convinced that safety lies in training, so he is paying for that training and paying for that safety.
