Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is the home of the world's first gun town. That's right, a gun town. Front Sight, envisioned and directed by Dr. Ignatius Piazza, a former California chiropractor, is a gated community, likened by Dr. Piazza to Pebble Beach, except rather than having golf courses or racquet courts at the heart of the community, Front Sight has firing ranges and America's top-rated shooting school. Front Sight boasts that it trains and graduates more students than all other shooting schools in America combined.

From a European point of view, Front Sight seems like a very American idea. Guns, guns, guns! is probably exactly what the average European would think about a Las Vegas, Nevada-based gun-oriented residential community. For Europe is considerably more strict about gun control. They have many more laws, and many more restrictions. Unfortunate, but true, Europe is still heavily influenced by the government and the law – they probably never really shook off the royalty bit.

In any case, because of their different views, Europeans are an interesting lot to have write about Front Sight, and this article in El Mercurio, a Spanish magazine, is no different. The writer seems to think that his experience in the free submachine gun class that Dr. Piazza offered was worth it. His report of Front Sight and its instructors is very complementary, and it seems to the world that he would come back.

Particular bits of his article stood out, such as his report of the instructors. The writer was struck by the instructors and even said that, "the three class instructors are real professionals. They know what they do and know how to teach." This is most definitely true, Dr. Piazza hires only the finest instructors to work at Front Sight. Ex-military, ex-cops, shooting instructors, body guards, all sorts of men and women of extremely rich backgrounds. No wonder the man from Spain was impressed.
