Handgun Training: The Way To Keep Everyone SafeIn recent years, handgun training has become what many Americans have been realizing it's time to turn to. Enter Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, the nation's largest firearms training school. The numbers of average Americans reaching for handgun training, and Front Sight is responding. In recent years, Front Sight has delivered gun training to more students annually than all other shooting schools in America combined. What is the reasoning for this recent upsurge of training? Many turn to the fact that violent crime is on the rise, others to the increase of terrorist attacks and potential threat to American citizens, while still others simply accredit it to a sort of "peer pressure", an exponential increase due to word-of-mouth and referral that is inevitable. Whatever it is, Front Sight's numbers have increased beyond their normal, already impressive statistics. Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of Front Sight, is not surprised by the fact that so many Americans seem to be reaching for gun training. His opinion is that not only handgun training, but also shotgun training and rifle training leads to safety. Dr. Piazza is convinced that the best form of self defense training one could get is firearms training, and he thinks that America is finally coming to understand that. He's also a bit upset that the spread of this knowledge has been so slow. While numbers have been picking up, due to reports and articles in all sorts of magazines and newspapers, even foreign ones such as El Mercurio, he says that the spread of the need of firearms training has been stymied by legislation that was not blocked by those who should have had a say in it, namely the N.R.A. and other gun activism groups. Dr. Piazza calls the N.R.A. cowards and is convinced if they would stand up for firearms training as self defense training, America would be in a safer position. |
